AROBS consolidates its executive team – Gabriela Mechea joins the group as Integration Director

AROBS Transilvania Software (BVB: AROBS), the largest technology company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announces the appointment of Gabriela Mechea as Integration Director at the group level.

In parallel with the group’s accelerated development strategy, both organically and through M&A transactions, we have been working intensively on the integration process of the acquired companies in the last almost two years within AROBS. We needed an executive with a deep knowledge of the technology industry ecosystem to implement this process and establish synergies with both the companies already acquired and the future entities that will join the group. Gabriela Mechea’s role will be to maximize collaboration and common advantages at the level of all companies, which will lead to the growth of their businesses and, implicitly, of the group. We welcome Gabriela Mechea to the AROBS team, and we are confident that together we will consolidate our group’s position in the technology field, locally and globally,” stated Voicu Oprean, founder and CEO of AROBS.

Gabriela Mechea is an executive with over 20 years of experience in technology companies, both Romanian entrepreneurial companies and international. Throughout her extensive professional career, Gabriela Mechea has held leadership positions in companies such as Gecad, Avira Romania, and Vector Watch, where she contributed to their development at the local and international levels. Also, between 2019-2023, Gabriela Mechea was the Executive Director of the Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS).

I am thrilled to join the 1,200+ colleagues in the AROBS Group and contribute to the growth and consolidation of the company. The success of AROBS is unique in the Romanian technology industry, with an organic growth that is hard to match, through expansion based on an accelerated acquisition process in Romania and abroad and innovation projects. Thus, I am honored to be appointed Integration Director“, stated Gabriela Mechea, Integration Director of AROBS Transilvania Software.

As Integration Director of AROBS, Gabriela Mechea will be responsible for harmonizing the activities of the companies acquired by the group in the last almost two years, as well as the entities that will join AROBS within the continuous growth process of the group through M&A transactions.

Since listing in 2021 on the AeRO market and until today, AROBS has completed nine transactions. In 2021, the Berg Software company was acquired, and in 2022, AROBS Engineering (former business line Enea Software Development Services Romania), the Nordlogic group, and the Centrul de Soft GPS Romania were added to the Group. In 2023, AROBS acquired two entities from the Republic of Moldova, AROBS Software and AROBS TrackGPS, AROBS Polska (formerly SYDERAL Polska) from Poland, Future Group WorkForce – with headquarters in Romania, Germany and the UK – and AROBS Pannonia Software from Hungary.

On September 25, 2023, AROBS shares debuted on the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange after the listing on the AeRO market in December 2021. At the time of the transfer, the company announced the continuation of its M&A strategy, for which it set a budget of approximately 55 million euros for the next three years, of which 40 million euros will be raised through the capital market, and 15 million euros will represent the approximate value of the shares that will be granted to the founders of the companies that join the AROBS group. The structure envisaged for these future transactions, which target both local and international companies, is 75% cash component and 25% equity (AROBS shares).
